This Script OpenType font family explores national handwriting traditions from the sober littere Cancellareſche umaniſte italice corſive to the International American Brush Script that derives from the Franco-English Anglaise which in turn evolved from des Lettres Françoises rondes de financière & des caractères de Civilité en coulée. The Deutsche Kurrentschrift preserves the gorgeous idiomatic shapes of German calligraphy, hinting of die Sütterlinschrift des lieben Großmütterchens. It is at once an exercise in balancing calligraphy’s connectedness with the regularizations of typography by discretionary usage of ligatures and contextual alternates.
